How AbsoluteLabs moved a European hotel group's newsletters and fragmented guest audience onto Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next, in one of the first launches of the platform in the UK.
One of the first Marketing Cloud Next launches in the UK.
Bringing fragmented guest audiences together for more relevant marketing, with a further 350,000 projected to follow.
Targeting communications by language, loyalty status and engagement
Our client is a hotel group operating across Europe, welcoming guests from many markets and in many languages.
The group's newsletters ran on a standalone email platform, with audience data spread across historic contact records, four language groups and loyalty groups. That made it harder to target guests consistently, manage consent and deliver campaigns reliably at scale.
Historic contacts, four language groups and loyalty groups held apart on a standalone email platform
One consolidated audience in Marketing Cloud Next, unified by Data 360, with website sign-ups flowing in through MuleSoft
The client wanted a centralised, scalable newsletter capability in Salesforce: reliable segmentation and consent, personalised communications in each guest's own language, and room to bring a much larger historic audience across.
AbsoluteLabs led the implementation working closely with the group's marketing team, taking the programme from kickoff to go live in four months.
A focused implementation, built around the group’s audience, its languages and its sender reputation.
The group's newsletters went live on Marketing Cloud Next on 20th October 2026, but the platform was already at work before then, running the warm up campaigns and a Christmas Market campaign. It is early days, but those first campaigns point to what one consolidated audience makes possible:
From go-live, the marketing team now works from one consolidated view of its newsletter audience, with reliable data it can act on. With that foundation in place, the group's next step is a wider loyalty programme built on a complete view of every guest.
